1. Which version is right for me?

Technically, there are two different variants of KaDeck: KaDeck Desktop and KaDeck Web.

 

KaDeck Desktop is suitable for individual users who have access to the cluster from their computer and do not necessarily need to collaborate with their colleagues. It is also ideal for IT service providers who do not have the ability to deploy a web service into the customer’s infrastructure.

 

KaDeck Web is ideal for teams that want to collaborate via a central web platform. If your cluster is not accessible from outside via a computer for security reasons, KaDeck Web is the ideal solution. The extensive role and rights system allows you to define rules for individual users or teams and even define namespaces. But also for efficient collaboration, KaDeck Web offers many advantages for multiple users compared to KaDeck Desktop.

2. How can I try KaDeck Professional?

You can download KaDeck Desktop free of charge from www.getkadeck.com.

 

KaDeck Desktop includes a 7-day trial of KaDeck Professional. During this time you can use the full features of KaDeck Professional.

 

After 7 days the features of KaDeck Professional are no longer available and the installed version becomes KaDeck Desktop Free Version.

3. How can I use KaDeck Desktop Free?

You can download KaDeck Desktop free of charge from www.getkadeck.com.

You will automatically receive a 7-day trial of KaDeck Desktop Professional, which unlocks additional features.

 

After the trial period expires, your version will automatically become KaDeck Desktop Free.

 

You can use KaDeck Desktop Free for commercial purposes in a company or for private purposes within the scope of our End User License Agreement.

4. Can I use KaDeck offline?

You can easily use KaDeck Desktop and KaDeck Web in environments where there is no internet access available (e.g., for security reasons).

For this purpose, both versions offer the option of offline activation via a challenge-response procedure.

5. What do I have to consider as a reseller?

If you are interested in a KaDeck Desktop license, please do not buy it directly from our online store.

6. How can I try out KaDeck Web?

You can get a first impression of KaDeck Web (Lite) via our All-In-One Box. To do so, visit www.getkadeck.com.

8. What do I do if my data type / codec is not listed?

You can develop your own codecs for your specific data type and include them in all KaDeck versions.

 

A codec is a Java class that provides functions for deserialization (consuming data) and serialization (generating data).

 

We also offer additional codecs for the Business, Project, and Enterprise packages, support you in developing them on your own, or develop the codecs for you.

9. What are custom modules?

Custom modules are components that we provide or develop for you on request.

As a KaDeck Desktop Professional user, you can get support by submitting requests through our Support Center or by email.
